* Princes Quay 2006 *
On the 3rd March we were in the main Atrium of Princes Quay.
The aim of the event was, as always to provide an opportunity for children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities to enhance learning, promote self-confidence and demonstrate achievement by performing. e.g. a dance, song or drama in front of the passing general public. This year we had 6 special and 2 mainstream schools and a group of college students performing live throughout the day.
It started at 10am and was officially opened by Peter Levy from BBC Look North
Shoppers were treated to a packed programme of live performances.
There was also an art and craft workshop, t-shirt printing, a treasure hunt and tombola
The whole day was a great success which was enjoyed by the children and public alike.
A big THANKYOU to all our sponsors who have enabled us to put on this event.
